Description
I was rather torn between calling this icing or frosting i cannot deciiide..anyway yummy caksidoublemeanings
ok on another note..this is the second (or really rather it was the first) bob ross painting we did last month. I feel like it is still not 100 % dry but I went ahead and scanned it now its had enough time....
we struggled a LOT but overall i still ike this one better. Not just because I like snow we learned on teh second day the lessons about the foreground that we messed up on this one but oh well...it's a different type of foreground than planned by bob ross but by the time we got to that part of the video not only were we pretty tired we couldn't get the paint to do what we wanted...
in fact, i cheated and got back painting more into this painting after it had dried to a moderate amount, the snow on the busshes was done later on. I do think i overdid it there, don't quite like how it came out, but its still better than just the black mass it was before
that being said it does not explain why there is so much snow on teh bushes but no noteworthy snow on the trees XD eherm..that thought did not occur to me until like..ages later.
I do quite love the generally simple effect the white and blue has for the mountains, thats a great trick. I still have a lot to learn when handling the pallet knive. The right mountain which was the first one to be done took me i think three attempts? Each time removing the paint and reapplying it pretty much so..yeah..bob didn't say how its done in that vid so it was a bit of try and error and when we did figure out that you had to only touch the canvas very lightly there was still my shakey hand....lol
fun times...hope to do it again
