Emoticon-a-Day Challenge: Day 13.
And that probably ends it for the template-driven series.

Around day 9, I invested far too many hours into creating a facial expressions PSD template with layers containing the elements of every fathomable expression, eager for recombination. This Tayloresque mechanization of the process killed the spontaneity and individuality of these emoticons completely ...so from now on I'll reign in the tasteless corporate efficiency and apply the more organic, time-sucking creative process of creating each emoticon from scratch, one by one.

This final assembly-line production is a homage to said mindblowing "epiphany".

Time: ~45 min.

I am creating one animated emoticon per day for 20 Days. 1) for the sake of improving my animation skills 2) for the sake of embracing the resourceful minimalism of pixel art and 3) to explore/analyze the cryptic world of human emotions.
