I feel exactly the same as you do. I wish people would stop and look at what they're doing and realize that they are slowly killing themselves. It's stupid.

Woah, again an amazing piece of work!
I really love the pose and the overall meaning is so deep.
And I totally know what you mean. I'm always trying to NOT make too much garbage but to re-use everything. I'm also always bringing my own bag with me when I go shopping so I won't have to get one of these plastic bags. I already have too many of them and don't know what to do with them. They're just lying around.
I live next to a river and in summer, when the water is all clear, you can see so much stuff, that really doesn't belong into a river. Bycicles, umbrellas, plates and so on. Even really strange stuff like a motor where there. I don't know why people do something like this. Half a year ago, there was a dead duck, swimming in the water, head down, because it ate something with a cord on it, so it couldn't get back to the fresh air and had to drown miserably. I really felt sorry for the duck and didn't want to go onto the balcony because I really didn't want to see her like this. Someday she was gone. I dunno if someone jumped into the river and saved her.

Amazing piece of art and thoughtful description..
The thing ist, that I believe it's too late. That doesn't mean, that I don't give my best and so, but yeah.. Humans are getting dumber and dumber. One day the whole world will sink. And well.. Will it matter? When there is no life at all.. no earth? Ahahahaaha so much philosophizing... but it's nothing to laugh about

Yes.. I feel the same. That something is about to change.. And I always have the desire for changing it by myself.. But I never know how and then I do nothing and in the end I feel bad. Haha well.. Some day something will happen and I hope (or maybe not..) that I will live to see it.

Wonderful art, and great description.
Sadly, I feel the exact same way. I feel like the people who actually care about trying to save the planet are like people trying to shovel back the ocean tide with tea spoons. The people who don't care about saving the planet are the ocean tide. Some of them are business owners who actively pollute our world because they only care about the bottom line. And it's cheaper for them to pollute than it is for them to upgrade their factories to be clean.
Others are people who are either ignorant, or just don't care enough to change their ways. For example, the people who see a report on the morning news about the terrible smog in China, and say "China really needs to do something to clean up their air." Then, they hop in their gas-guzzling SUV and drive to work, never once thinking about the fact that they are part of the problem.
Anyway, that's basically how I feel about it. Those of us who care about trying to save the planet are just being completely overwhelmed by those who don't care enough to try to save it, and those whose monetary interests seem to be more important than saving it.

You're welcome.
By the time the consequences appear, it will be way too late to stop them from getting worse because we will have already triggered runaway global warming. That's the point where the planet can no longer dissipate as much heat at night as it absorbs during the day. When that happens, Earth's lakes and oceans will evaporate faster, which will put more more greenhouse gasses into the air, which will heat up the planet even more, which will cause water to evaporate even faster, and so on. Even if we cut carbon emissions to absolute zero at this point it's too late now. The global warming will continue anyway, and will continue to go faster and faster with every month that passes.
The ultimate end result of this is that Earth will end up resembling Venus. There will be nothing left on the surface accept rock, and average day time temperatures will soar to over 1,000 degrees.
How long do we have before we trigger runaway global warming? Most scientific reports say 40 years maximum unless we can cut carbon emissions in half before then.

Hmm... my thoughts on life itself:
Life is meaningless. There is no point, whatsoever, for our existence. If we weren't here, nothing would be here. Therefore, no one would have anything to live for... It's just...if no one were ever alive, no one would be, and we would never know because we would never exist... This is all starting to hurt my head...
