A very fine photo. I don't know this breed but these two look very cute.

Do their forelegs just look that unhealthy or do they also have problems with them?

It's a hardworking little hunting dog and I doubt they would be built like that if it in any way hindered them in the forest and on the fields.
I looks around a bit and it seems a lot of breeds (if not all) with this look - big body, short legs, have this type of frontlegs.

I've just heard that many Bassets for example have problems with their legs, because they are so low, that's why I asked. Many of those show dogs aren't used in the fields anymore, because of their legs... That's why I asked...

Well, I don't think a lot of Drevers are kept as anything but huntingdogs here in Sweden. They are not showdogs, but huntingdogs. The thing is that they need show merits to get their championtitles on the field as well.

I've always wanted to meet a Drever in person, but unfortunately, they aren't very common around here... In fact, I don't think I met a person who knew what they were, let alone owned one. They are gorgeous little dogs, and quite the expression on them. I absolutely love the expressions of both dogs in this photo, serious, yet suiting. The lighting created quite the contrast in shadows, but I think it adds to the photo's composition rather than hinder it. It really highlights the contours of their faces. Great work, and gorgeous dogs!

Thank you!
There were Drevers everywhere at this show. It was really nice to see since they are mostly used as huntdogs and are not as common to meet in everyday life.

I read a bit about them and it seems they are more like the English Bulldog once was, before it became the focus for breeders who wanted to have more "extreme" dogs.

Yeah, you get some real horrible people... sadly Venus got Gastric Dilation&Volvulus, maybe from stress? Something she ate? Or she ate too quickly, she was a large Breed and deep chested beautiful girl... at least she is defnetly in a better place now!
I agree with you, about the miracle makers... if i could, i'd rescue dogs myself, train them to help as guide dogs for the blind etc at a very low rate...
