Journey didn't feel it happen, but she woke up feeling... different. She slept hard after crying herself to sleep with the loss of Cupid. And when Rabbit came to visit once more, she cried even harder. Although having shied away from Rabbit before, she clambered into her arms and wept. Rabbit held her close and cried as well, cried for Cupid, cried for everything that had happened. It was a few hours before they parted, and Journey felt undeserving when Rabbit gave her a gift. A beautiful red piece of cloth with gold sewn around the edges. With a little help, she tied it loosely around her neck. Rabbit told Journey of how when Cupid was small, he wore red as well. The thought both warmed and made the wyngling's heart ache. Her new ears drooped when Rabbit took leave, and the tears from her third eye slipped down the side of her nose. It tickled a bit, and she wiped them away, frustrated.--
