My drawing of a harpy eagle perching on a branch. Here you can see the giant talons of the harpy eagle in their terrifying glory. These talons can grow as long as five inches, and can punch through bone with terrifying ease. Harpy eagles also have such long secondary feathers that when they fold their wings, you can't even see the primary feathers. This is the result of their short, broad wings, which are used for maneuvering with great skill through the jungle canopy.
