i like the emotion of this piece! it honestly comes from having none at all, in my opinion. i'm unsure if this was intended, but the whole scene seems blank, just like the character's life, perhaps? or enjoyment of life? the sketchiness really does help the mood, but the hair (especially when draping over the front of the shoulder) looks a bit like a piece of fabric, or a curtain.

This character is actually one of my most complicated OCs. And indeed, her character-type is having no emotion at all! A 'blank' piece of canvas, if you will.
