Thanks, well honestly I agreed what you're saying, adding some more detail will give more life to this piece, I was totally missed the hood detail after I uploaded it, I'm gonna consider your suggestions and make an improvement, someday i'll go back to this piece and make it look more realistic. Thanks for your criticism, really helped me a lot.
here's the recent art that I uploaded after taking criticism and suggestion from my experience: fav.me/da1z3d9

Wow; this piece of art is incredible. You've done amazingly well, especially with the proportions; very realistic.
The only thing I'd say is don't be afraid to be bold with your shading and add some dark shadows to really exaggerate the contours of the face to make it look more 3-Dimensional, especially around the cheekbones and the eye sockets. It might be an idea if you don't do this to try working from a photographic reference. You don't have to copy the actual image itself, but it would give you more of an idea of where to place the highlights and shadows. If you don't like this idea then try to think of a direction that the light is coming from, whether it's shining directly onto the face or at an angle so one side of the face is darker.
Other than that, it's faultless. I can't get over the lips - you've even made them look glossy. Really well done; keep at it.

Wow! This is amazing work. I aspire to one day be able to create art like this... how long did this Take you??? There is not much to critique, everything is perfect. Her hair is perfect. I like the highlights on them. The lighting and shading is spot on and it really adds to its realism. That's is the best thing about this piece. My eyes are drawn to her eyes and I can stare at them for hours... awesome job on this... instant classic and favorite in my opinion. A standing ovation........

Thanks really appreciate your comment. Really helped me a lot.
Well, it takes me like 2 to 3 hours to finished it. I used Paint tool SAI as it easier to used.
The whole process i used a brush, for an example i used a small size brush with some transparent on the hair with difference colour.
Here's some tips, take some reference like a picture and draw it make it look same, as you will improve yourself as time goes on.
It may hard at first but eventually you'll find yourself a better way to draw.(it's was hard for me too ^-^)
So, I hope you can achieved your goal and do the best!

It's completely digital art, as I said I used Paint Tool SAI software to make this. Made it from scratch with a brush.

Not sure if i love Yui or just girls in hoodie...
But well done, i love the hair work and near precise facial feature..
Need some realism by toning down the sharp edges but this is stylised well.
