It's a style I wish to use more often but I often get hung up on details and there goes the painterly look. I do have an idea for a similar painting though. Thanks for enjoying. ^^

Thanks you. Yes. I forgot about the scar on his chest, and only remembered a few hours after I posted it on dA. The hair isn't perfect either, but then again it's a pain to draw so I'm just glad he ended up looking like Grimmjow if only a bit.

YES!!! He appeared in the latest chapter! I haven't read Bleach in a while but someone told me so I skipped to the last two pages of the latest manga chapter and immediately found Grimmjow.

It was supposed to be speed-painting, but I ended up spending too much time on the hair, so it can no longer be considered a speed-painting. xD

Thank you! I only used one brush, called Bristle in SAI. People usually use it for hair but I like the idea of being able to paint a while piece with any brush. ^^

Damn, been trying to answer to this comment since I saw it, but... Internet. =/

Anyway, I'm glad you like it. xD It really is a bit different from my usual stuff but I keep seeing my sister using SAI and I wanted to give it another chance too. I really like the whole unfinished look, but I find it hard to paint this way since I'm more of a perfectionist and I like everything to be clearly defined. Strange thing... >.>

The lips were a happy accident, roflmmao, or maybe I just find it easier to draw lips now? I'm not sure. Faces are still very hard to draw. T-T I kind of dislike the hair because it's not completely accurate, but his hair has always been hard to draw so in the end, I guess whatever. As long as it looks a bit like him, I'm happy. ^.^

I bet you have a lot of new stuff. Must check them out as soon as my Internet stops being so much slower than the usual super slow. -.-

I actually tried to give some of my paintings/drawings an unfinished look but it didn't work out so well. Instead of making them look both messy and cool they just turned out... well, crappy.

Then please make more of these "happy accidents" happen. PLEASE.
Yes, faces are really difficult. Plus if you screw up on the face the whole drawing's kinda fucked. When it comes to drawing something, or rather, someone, in realistic style I always lose my temper because no matter how much I try it just doesn't look like the person I wanna draw. And I usually do that sort of stuff traditionally so the fact that it's hard to erase and fix my mistakes annoys me even more.

Eh, yeah, I guess. Nothing too extraordinary, though. Still waiting for the... you know.. the "spark". Something to make me be like "hey, this is the best thing I've drawn in a while".
Meh, it'll come eventually. XD

Haha, totally not fine. I've been trying for what now? 15-30 minutes to check your new stuff? I got to the Rammstein guy before finally deciding I had enough for one night. I mean, takes ages for any image to open, jesus. D: I'll have to check the rest when it doesn't feel like I might end up punching the screen. XD But naw, they weren't crappy. I can see how much you've improved since we started talking. ^^

What I hate about drawing faces is that I usually paint fanart of anime/manga character and my style is semi-realistic so I can't draw them like they look originally, and in my style they look somewhat different. It's really frustrating. I think I need to practice more. =/

I haven't drawn traditional stuff in ages. o.O For me the Annie painting is gonna be that spark. I look at it like every week and trying to figure out how to paint it without messing it up. I want it to be awesome. T-T

Well, look at the bright side. It's easier to adapt your style to anime/manga than to a realistic one. Okay, if what you want is the characters to look as much like the originals then yeah it might still be a problem. Personally, though, I find it more interesting when someone draws an anime/cartoon/game character in their own style, because I can always see the characters in their original style but each person has their own way to draw them which, of course, can make things worse, but also good. Like in your case.

I don't usually draw traditionally. Just if it's something realistic, like I've told you. Maybe someday when I gather up more of them I'll make some kind of "compilation" of those. Simply because they're not at all extraordinary (despite the time I worked on them) and I don't want to fill my gallery with things I don't find worth looking at. So I'll just put them all in one big deviation and that'll be it. 
If only I had your patience... every time I had to draw something for someone it wouldn't come out well and I'd just leave the drawing as crappy as it was and be like "hey look there's your gift".
And then I'd call myself the biggest idiot because I gave said person the gift even though it looked horrible.

Oh, you're right. I too like to see how people draw a character in their own style. ^^

I can't properly erase on paper, so nope. D:

I've made some drawings to some people that I didn't like but if you think about it, it's the best we can do at a specific moment in time. The first drawing I did for a friend was terrible, but I like the last one. xD
