Description
Aisling overthinks all day and night! and when things get over her head to the point of not letting her sleep, she writes. She makes lists, letters to the people she's thinking of, or just her feelings in her diary. This way she bottles up her emotions, and gets a small relief from her anxiety. that night she decided to write a letter, one of those she never sends but always thinks about sending, to get her head straight after two sleepless nights.
"Dear Caliope:
Surely it must be shocking to see me like this, after all the insistence I have given you to correct your habits, even knowing what you have gone through. I want you to understand that my actions have a reason to be, other than simple hypocrisy. In my deep desire of being more empathic, I have made the serious mistake of putting aside my problems to concentrate on others; I have covered the feelings of pain and loneliness with schedules and responsibilities, lying to myself to the point of believing that I had overcome them, when I could not have been more wrong, I have only numbed them over the years.
We are not as different as I may have made you believe in my faulty attitude, "haughty and proud", and I apologize for those times when I tried to get involved in your personal life, ignoring your opinion and/or without prior permission. No one who has not brought order to his/her own lives should try to fix others with the authority of someone who knows what they’re doing. It is easy to speak from anothers point of view, then leave the words in the air and expect results… this is how I proceeded, and I was wrong.
Despite not knowing the exact state of our relationship, and the fact that it makes me quite nervous as with everything that is not under my control; Whether we are acquaintances or friends, I want you to know that in my eyes you are not a bad person, you are someone who brings me joy to be near with. I know that the level of your past conflicts were much greater than mine, but your future opportunities are twice as vast. You're better than others let you believe.
Sincerely: Aisling."
after that, she slept like a baby for that night :3
