While it's difficult for me to imagine the scope of such a contest (or rather, I should say, I can't imagine being able to come up with a fitting idea for it), this is great.
I like that there are three panels--something I love to see in comic strips, because it's Beginning, Middle, End, or Top, Middle, Bottom, and so on. The work produced by such a strict grammar is charged, electric stuff, like when a good writer tells of a gunshot in two or three words instead of a whole paragraph.
Also: I hope that this work gets a vote or two on account of the first/top panel's invoking a certain rat-like vampire of horror cinema (Nosferatu). The heart assumes the shape of fangs, then a wound, then candy. That's pretty amazing.

In the end I only used these 3, to stay on point. I didn't want to overdo it. ^^
