Julia M ( [link] ) gave me her permission to draw this cat that she had a pictire of.Pastel Pencils on Daler Rowney pastel paper 130gm A3
I enjoyed drawing this cat but think I got the colour choice of the background paper wrong! It has darkened the pastels for the cat itself and no matter how I try to lighten the picture as soon as I purt fixative on the pastel it goes about 5-6 shades darker! Think I will re-draw it again on a light gray paper.
Thanks for allowing me to draw this Julia and hope you are OK with the end result even tho' it is a shade or two darker!

What a pretty kitty cat. I looked at the original and yes, yours is darker than the photo, but that really doesn't matter. As an artist, you have that option to change anything you want unless it's a commission. I really love his eyes, especially the left one. It just looks so alive. The ears are great also. Wonderful job and Happy New Year!
