Between the Rinderberg and Horneggli, in the Bernese Oberland (Switzerland), August 2015You do not have to travel very farΒ from the jet-set favoured resort of Gstaad to find traditional scenes such as this one : they are actually more the rule than the exception in the Swiss countryside, felicitously unimpressed by show-offs and big money. Here, placid cows enjoy farm life with a view.

Thanks ! Cows are inured to vertigo, it would seem. I actually like the combination of a traditional pastoral scene with the slight trepidation created by the overhanging view into the valley.
