Description Part of my work in Killarney this summer has consisted of making illustrations for the new trail signs at Mashkinonje Provincial Park. I'm completing a total of 13 illustrations for the project, 11 of which have already been finished. There will be 6 large illustrations featuring a variety of species, and 7 small illustrations featuring 1 or 2 species each.

This is the large illustration for the Blanding's Trail. It features the following species: Great Blue Heron, Northern Waterthrush, Gray Jay, Wood Ducks, Blanding's Turtle, Northern Leopard Frog, Red Maple, Black Ash, and Sensitive Fern.

The Blanding's Turtle is a Species at Risk in Ontario. It can be differnetiated from other turtles, by it's bright yellow throat and underside.

I've uploaded a somewhat larger version of the image than usual so you can all view the detail better. Please keep in mind however, that these drawings are the property of myself and the Ontario Government.

Thanks! Maybe a few more will in the near future. If my park superintendent decides to put signs like this in his other parks, there will be quite a few signs like this around Ontario. XD
