Description
For "Mythology, Folklore and Religion" Contest atHere comes the longest list of resources I ever used. I don't like long lists, but I had no choice.

I planned to dig into Greek or Norse mythology, since I'm very interested in them both. Then I decided to work with some folklore character, and she was the only folklore character that came to mind (except Leprechaun). Gamayun is Russian (or Slavic) folklore character, a prophetic bird with a head and a chest of a woman. She sings her prophetic songs to the chosen ones, her appearance may be the sign of forthcoming storm or war. Gamayun symbolizes wisdom and knowledge.

Ой, это было давно, делалось на конкурс по фолькльору и мифологии. Я решила как-то удивить всех и внести разнообразие в эти однотипные ряды фей и эльфов. Славянский фолькльор, всё-таки, богат самобытными персонажами. Все действительно удивились, и я заняла второе место.

What does the numbers on the shield mean?

I'd say if I knew what they mean. They were the part of original . Finding *any* stock picture of a shield turned out to be a tough task. I thought there had to be hundreds and hundreds of shields since it's an important and "popular" part of ammunition. I found one, oval-shaped saxon shield. But slavic shields were either round or approximately shaped like the one I picked. It had to look as "slavic" as possible.
I'll get more 3D weapons.

Yes, I finally got a tablet! Basically, you install the software, plug it in, and draw on the tablet the way you would paper. It's really nifty.

NO! Yes? How is that possible? Considering how horrible I draw on paper... but still, what is the approximate price of this wonder? Around 100$, I think, no?

Yup, they're right around a hundred. I've seen some digital paintings done just with the tablet, but even if you don't draw well (and I don't), it's worth it just for how much easier it is to clean up edges.
