The candid nature of the photo has a resonance far beyond the original capture. It remains alive and natural, even if it wasn't, but that is the feature of photography that belies its honesty.
I admire the blue filtering whether present at take or inspired at post editing, it matters not. It's effect lingers in the porcelain dish to the towel, eyes to the pool's water. The injected haziness even provides a blueness air.
One almost wonders what she did next. Her nakedness epitomises a Mediterranean culture an allowing of nudity within family surroundings, encouraging outdoor activities and relaxation. The camera position offers a viewer a chance to feel a voyeur, risking disapproval or even pleasure. Like all good photographs it invites a narrative. It is about the observer not the subject. An excellent image.

Do I need to be a doctor to see that this woman is really thin? Have you heard of a BMI scale? I think you probably did but let me show you the formula anyway:
BMI = Weight(KG)/Height(M)^
Let's say she weighs 55 Kilos and towers to 1.8m, this puts her at a tad lower than 17 BMI, which for an adult as high as she is is considered un-healthy.
Tell me I'm wrong, tell me I didn't use precise measurements,
in the end I don't give a shit because I don't even care about her specifically, for it is her choice in life to live on what ever diet she chooses.
But I'm sick and tired of the promotion of unhealthy thin women as models of beauty, I'm fucking annoyed by barbie dolls that are sold to girls as children and living barbie dolls that are sold to women. This might be beauty, this woman is gorgeous, but being thin isn't a must as every media defines it is, to be beautiful.
Not only does modern standards define women's beauty as unhealthy it's also un-achievable as it is depicted: women should have thin hips, big ass, thin waste and big chest. I want to see models with big hips, I want to see models who's rib cage isn't visible, who's diet isn't forced, unhealthy and self deprived.
I ain't no fucking doctor, just a person who admires health over beauty.
