"Fan Art - Judge Dredd: Dredd Vs Death (2003)"

This is a digitally-edited fan art painting that I made slightly earlier. This one is based on the 2003 dystopian sci-fi FPS game "Judge Dredd: Dredd Vs. Death".

Although I played this game on PC (and possibly the PS2 demo version as well) back in the day, I only rediscovered it a couple of days ago and it is so cool

Not only did the people who made the game clearly read the comics (amongst many other things, Dredd is actually presented as a satirical character rather than a "hero"), but there's also a cool "Blade Runner" (1982)-influenced cyberpunk aesthetic to some areas... and zombie vampires that you can fight as well.

Yes, "Judge Dredd" is technically dystopian sci-fi or proto-cyberpunk - the first comics were released in the 1970s, cyberpunk didn't appear until the 1980s - but it's really cool to see an interpretation that includes cyberpunk visuals

And, yes, it's a mid-budget game from twenty years ago - the gameplay is functional but nothing special - and there's also some occasional *sigh* product placement/in-game advertising (which isn't very punk...), but the game as a whole is still seriously cool though.

As for my painting, I was slightly tired when I made it and I'll be the first to admit that there are mistakes and artistic licence aplenty here. Still, it was really fun to make
