Hey again! At around four a.m. last night I was struck with inspiration and decided to sketch out my favourite (and most notorious) character, the unspeakably awful Hollowgaze. About a year or so ago I was roleplaying him in the clearing with some poor doll, and a few standers-by referred to him as 'The Bane of ThunderClan', and I suppose it stuck--I've grown sort of attached to the title, bahah! It was tied with 'Hollowgaze the Horrid' (Thank you, miss Ivy! xD) and 'Holl: One nasty son of a gun.', which was courtesy of miss Dire.As I was painting the sketch, I was like, "YOU KNOW WHAT I HAVEN'T TRIED IN A WHILE? BACKGROUNDS YEAH LET'S DO A BACKGROUND IT'LL BE GREAT THIS IS THE BEST CHOICE EVER"
...........wrong, good lord, what is even going on?? HALO CLOUDS. But hey, better than nothing, right? I like to think I'm improving a little!

Hmm feedback... When I do skies with clouds like that, I will usually have a smaller brush size. Yeah, it takes a lot longer but it'll look smoother and the colors will blend more nicely, as well as having more control over the texture of the clouds c:

This looks excellent Pearin! I love the colors in Hollowgaze's fur, how the orange bits seem to glow and the black is lost in shadow. Though it is a little hard to tell with the shadowy nature of the piece, the anatomy does seem to be all in the right place. What I like best about this piece, however, is the feeling it gives. You have the sun, like heaven, all the way up in the top left corner, and then you have blood dripping from his claws and very very dark shadows in the bottom right corner. "How far have you fallen, Hollowgaze?" That's the feeling it gave me, at least ^^ One thing I would suggest would be lightening the background clouds just a little bit more around the right side (or rather, my right, his left) of his face and chin, just so you can see the shape of it more clearly and so he doesn't blend in so much. But overall, a wonderful job!

This is so beautiful! The fur patterns will always be your specialty skill- the beauty of them is amazing. But what I loved was the sky- it had a watercolour feel to it, which is really interesting, but that also gave the sky the impression of a hazy or foggy night, which gives the whole thing an air of- um, how do I say- dark dealings? The kind of night that dark horses bring in mysterious travelers who leave at the first sight of dawn and cats prowl about and- anyways, it's really well done n.n;
