Watercolour on Lanaquarelle paper, painted on always wet paper,and finally on dry paper for details.Experimenting this new paper that is very hard to paint on, because it takes immediatly the colour as you put it on the paper. It is a little bit easier on very wet, but it still seems like painting over a sponge...
I do watercolour since 17 years and I am stupid afront of it...
May be some of you had a soluce, cause I bought 20 sheet of this one ! Β Β

By the way, do you know this paper?
It is hot pressed, and I cannot make color spread, neither any effect, would you know some product to make it less absorbent ?

i've used lana, good paper softer than arches.(softer meaning more absorbent)
hot press is less flowing than cold press.
if you want flowing try arches cold press or even arches hot press.
or try adding alcohol to your water, a wetting agent or oxgall, another wetting agent.
lowers the surface tension in the water, flows more

I already used Arches hot pressed but lana is much different!
I am trying a new way of painting, putting paper in water and set on a plexiglass; this allow painting on wet several hours, interresting...
