Rainbow Dash is smiling because I shaded her!Please ignore the squares, they are a part of the paper.
Well, this is her with her hair shining. I think I messed it up.
First time trying that anyway.

This is very well done. As far as making the hair shine, I would say just try stuff out and see what works. It's only graphite, right?

I have to get over that fear because It's really hard to shade properly without going over the lines with a marker first, and I'm always scared I'll mess it up because its irreverseable. (can't spell)

Yeah, it takes guts to finish a drawing sometimes. No matter how it turns out though, it's a learning experience.

If it you can get it to shine well then may as well, not sure what the best way to do it would be though, maybe eraser idk, either way she is very happy so it's cute.

Should I make the hair on the neck shine too? Because that hair doesn't get direct light on it, nor is it in the correct angle from the "camera".

Not sure it depends on how you think it looks. I would say do the part above her head first then save that, then if the one by the neck doesn't look right when you do it you could always use the one you saved as a backup.

Sadly can't think of much, I would say shading and lightning and the general picture etc. but it all looks fine, I don't know much more than those things about pencil drawings was never to great at them. If you keep to as you currently have done with this and Fluttershy and Trixie etc. then it should be good.
