Cheers! I like the textures. The image seems a bit busy, but there *is* some negative space in there, which I like. And where would I be without the occasional "busy" piece, eh? Added to my favourites!

Hi There! You have just earned yourself an ODD ! congrats! !
ODDS (oibyrd's daily deviations) are to honor the sometimes overlooked artists of dA that I personally think deserve some exposure (and also, to show off people who I think are undeniably talented in their own genre of art). Please click the link below to see your work featured and to view other featured artists. If you prefer not to be a featured artist, just send me a note and I will remove you from the list. Cheers! xoxo Sandi

Stunning piece, not obviously fractal until a closer look is taken. I love the distorted sense of perspective it gives, plunging towards the corners

Wow. The fluid shapes down at the lower left are very cool, and I love the colors overall.

This is excellent.

I'm curious about how long you worked on this. A week?...more?

It's hard to say exactly how long, this one I had sitting unfinished on my HD for a while already, I picked it up again, still liked it and finished it within a few hours

Yeah...I do that a lot. Work with a piece for a week and just kinda get tired of it. Still like it, just want to put it down and do something else for a while, then a month or so later I'll run across the piece again and continue working on it.

I think the texturing, the color schemes, the composition of the elements all make for a very interesting image. This is very impressive...

I like it very much Peter. I agree with *FarDareisMai*: it's chaotic and yet ordered at the same time,
really great and very interesting.

I agree totally! I see so many images in this fractal. Not images you intended, I mean images that my mind forms kind of like when you look at clouds or when you look into a camp fire or something. It kind of reminds me of those renaisance (sp?) paintings of something bad happening to people. Like a war? Or that one that one guy did of hell? Very cool!

Thanks, I know what you mean... some of those "mind" images I saw too, and I think that's the essential meaning of art, the interaction between the art piece and the one watching it, with everyone forming it's own images and fantasies. In my opinion, art has to evoke emotions/feelings, even if it's feelings of disliking the piece or even fear oh boy, I'm rambling on lol

It kinda reminds me of that part in the game 'the Legend of Dragoon'.... in that forest.
it is absolutly beautiful. I really like the colours you used.
Cheers
