Description
I'm finally returning to the creature designs I developed for my "Field Guide to Amaterasu" project. I've changed the setting from a moon orbitting a distant gas giant to a fictionalized version of the Saturn system of rings and moons which the original Amaterasu setting was based on. The field guide concept has morphed into a naturalist's travelogue told through letters and illustrations. I'm also using an art nouveau style similar to the work of Alphonse Mucha and Ernst Haeckel.

Here I've used the style with an illustration of a crab-deer, a small swift predator of the open plains.
