My mom has made an art out of making flower arrangements and also wants to get me into making some, but quite honestly - I have no talent in that.... I rather paint
And as it's her birthday soon I thought I could make one of her artworks last forever. First watercolor painting I made for a very long time... I really forgot how fussy it is...

Very nice. The way you've done the water looks excellent - the highlights look really nice. Good choice on the color scheme as well. The repetition of pink and green everywhere makes the whole piece pull together.Β
Critique-wise (since you've submitted to a critique group) the only issue I'm seeing is a minor perspective problem. The curve of the water appears to be from a much higher angle than the curve of the bottom of the glass beneath it. I'm not sure which is correct, but they don't really match up to each other, and since they're so close it's pretty obvious. Other than that, though, everything looks nice. Good job!

haha, I don't remember how many times she told me the exact same thing... or something like: why does it have to be so dark or grotesque? Painting those flowers was fine the one time but I don't think I will do many more works like that, it would get me bored. But for her I might make probably make exceptions...
