Description I love this full-body shot! It shows the bodice pretty well, and just enough of the skirt overlay. As previously stated, the entire costume was made by me. It was a learning experience to make an authentic classical tutu, every part of the costume was made keeping real ballet in mind, from the panty to the bodice to the basque structure and, of course, the tutu. It's an anatomically correct classical ballet costume, to put it simply. I had so much fun making this and can't wait to work on her Aurora outfit next, though I am taking a bit of a break from tutus. All of that pleating was tiring! Also, as a disclaimer, those are not real pointe shoes (they are demi-pointes) and I am not a real ballerina...which does sorta help, since Kraehe doesn't pose properly and is very 'raven-like' in her gestures.

WOW. I have seen very few Kraehe cosplays and this is the best I have ever seen! I really like your style with the costume. Very beautiful in the detailing compared to the original character! I really wish I had a good photographer to take pictures of me. I can do it easily at fun angles without a tripod, but It's really tough if you're on your own! I really hate cheesy room shots, but It's all I got, T^T. Anyway, enough complaining. This is a beautiful, wonderful, cosplay!

Wow, thank you so much...this is the greatest compliment I could receive and you made my morning! Sadly, the photographer who took this photo and many other of my favorites has retired. Also, there are a lot of great photographers opening up for photoshoots at conventions these days, some for free! I would check out cosplay.com's Photographer section here:

Good luck and I hope you find someone to take awesome pictures of your costumes!

This is simply phenomenal. All the detail and the design of this is simply amazing. I'm really happy to see such a great Kraehe cosplay. The Princess tutu fandom does not get enough love.

Awww thanks! I agree, whenever I see any Tutu cosplay at a convention I get incredibly happy because it's usually a rare occasion.

Amazing work. The fact that you made everything having ballet in mind really shows out. Accuracy, details and elegance, all in one!

I put in about 6 months of research before making it and even during the process I would check things up to make sure it was being done properly. I was at first indecisive when it came to the bodice, whether to make it how ballet bodices should be made (which is what I ended up doing) or make it accurate to the artwork. I'm glad I went with ballet accuracy in the end because it's really hard to make that bodice look flattering otherwise.

I totally understand, I use to plan everything for a cosplay for months, even for a year or more. The planning part is as important as the actual manifacturing, I think.
It turned out to be both ballet and reference accurate... after all, we have to keep in mind what the artist had wanted to express: in this case, the author surely had the aim to recreate a correct ballet dress.
Compliments again!

I wish there was video of the costume on stage, I was told it was so shiny up there with the stage lights on it!
