Description "The Dream Team you and me~ (For all eternity?!) FOR ALL ETERNITY!!!"

During the Operation: Enhappification charity events, for every $5K raised, a How-To draw video by Additional Art Director: Dave Knott was released. A few weeks ago, I decided to follow along the tutorial and I got a little bit too in to it. This is the result!

I am over the moon with how this turned out. This is one of the most "on model" drawings I've made and it makes me very happy. I see where improvements need to be made but I am so happy with this result!

For the most part, I think I've gotten Molly down to a science but Scratch still needs a little bit of work. He did come out very nice here too though! I feel like I learned a lot from Dave Knott's video and I'll definitely get around to following along with his Scratch and Libby videos later! Here, I learned a lot about the line of action and COLORING YOUR LINE ART! I usually just stick with a standard black outline but the colored lines make the whole thing POP!

The background was kind of an afterthought, I actually put the "slanted rectangle" there as a joke but then I realized it looked pretty cool! I went through a few different colors until I landed on this nice tangerine-orange color. I thought it meshed well with Scratch's blue and Molly's blue, pink, purple and brown, and I also thought the color had a nice significance to the series! (It's not really a spoiler but I don't wanna spoil it anyway. Personally, I think if you know, you know.)

After finishing this drawing, I got inspired to try my hand at my own original and that one came out pretty cool too! I'll definitely be trying to put what I've learned from this piece to good use and start incorporating some into the rest of my art!

Time: A couple of hours over a few days. When pieces take this long, I don't really have an estimate!
