Powerful treasures usually have some type of trap or guardian close by, ready to ruin some adventurer's day. Glaskanin was searching for the Golden Compass in a strange an unknown land, when he found the treasure chest containing the loot, buried in a block of sandstone, there was noting out of the ordinary to be seen, he was expecting maybe a shark, or a giant octopus to be guarding it.

But once he opened the chest to reveal his prize, huge strands of seaweed wrapped him up, holding his arms behind his head, and his tentacles immobile. And well, they weren't gonna hurt him, who could do such a thing to him? So, the weeds tickled his sides, till some other treasure hunter comes to save him.

But hey, who's that guy in the background? I'll bet nobody can guess which franchise this setting is from...
