Okay, I gotta ask. What on Earth is the story behind a name like Ruki Balihogn?

In the book "The Borrowers Aloft", Ballyhoggin was the name of the Platter's model town.
I wanted to use the name "Ballyhoggin" as my Animal Crossing town name, but it's too long, so I just changed the spelling.
Ruki Balihogn just seemed like a good name for a doll.
