Ha! I figured I wouldn't be the only one shipping these two! I'm playing through the Omega DLC right now, and you could cut the sexual tension between them with a knife, it's so thick.

On the subject of female turians I always wondered if they were just in the military and such or if they all just looked and sounded like guys.

This is stunning. Great job.
I don't ship Nyreen and Aria as much as I ship Tevos/ Aria, but got to admit Nyreen is such an interesting character and the fact that their relationship was doomed from the start is what makes it so fascianating. You just want to go back in time and see how it all started, developed and ended.
I loved the DLC, although combat was somewhat repetitive and not that exciting. But oh my god Aria... I don't remember ever being reduced to such a squeeing fangirl I was while watching her, hearing her in this dlc, lol.
I replayed it 4 times now. One on full renegade just to get a kiss from her xD

Thank you so much.
If it wasn't for Aria, Bioware would have had a very hard time selling this DLC. There's no other reason to pay so much for that.

I feel disappointed that we never actually hear her talk about Liselle. I never hear her mention the girl to any extent from either Aria OR Nyreen.

Yeah me too...I guess now everybody is left with his headcanon. I saw many people thinking that Nyreen could be Liselle's father...that's a funny thought

Omega was immensely disappointing.
Nyreen's pointless, desperate, useless and stupid suicide/sacrifice/death was just the final nail on the coffin.
Looks like Turian females are rarer than Unicorns again then.
Oh, gorgeous artwork btw.

Well I'm not as disappointed as you are but I understand your point of view... female Turians are indeed freakin' rare.
I'm glad you like the drawing though...it makes me want to draw more stuffs with them.

Thanks very much ^ it's a question of practice I guess. I never learned how to draw or paint ; IRL I'm a student in engineering school (applied mathematics and IT) which has nothing to do with art...so keep it up !

First of all, great pic. And yes, would totally love more of them. The more, the merrier I say.
When an asari reach the 700 years, becomes a matriarch. Not 1000. And Aria is probably few years older.
Now to DLC... Yes, it was great but not worth the prize and the reason people complain about the dlc is mainly the prize. And some Aria haters as well (oh yessss, she has haters. Thankfully, they're the minority) would complain about it.
Bioware marketed the dlc as the best work they did which is not true. IMO, it was LotSB. But they had to market the Omega dlc for money. Still, I don't see the reason to why the Omega DLC was overprized.
Anyway, to story. The DLC would be beyond amazing if they forcused more to the story, Omega's background, Aria's background and less fighting. For goddess's sake, Mass Effect was always about the story and not a pointless "shoot them up!" I miss the old days. We almost don't know more about Aria other than that she had a lover, Nyreen Kandros. We don't know what made Aria to dethrone Patriarch and be the ruler of Omega. We don't know who was Liselle's father. We didn't found if she was the commando Wrex mentioned, Aleena (but I totally believe Aria was Aleena, because of some ME2 comments she made, that Patriarch is not the only Krogan she pissed off, "better luck next time" etc.) No many background stories between Aria and Nyreen because they gave me the impression that they were together for long time, the way Nyreen talks about her leads me to believe that she was the only person who knew Aria better than everyone.
And her death was pointless. So pointless. I know she died to fuel Aria's rage more than ever but still..... she could save more people if she was alive. It was obvious that Aria still loved her and vice versa... if she was alive she could rule Omega with Aria and both would have made the place a better one.
The reason Aria softened wasn't for Shepard (I personally hate it when Shepard becomes the centre of the universe.) but for Nyreen. She wanted to respect her by making omega a better place.... and the line she says "We are Omega" instead of "I am Omega" proves that.
I laugh at people saying that it's not her type to mourn.... Duh, as if she doesn't have feelings..... Please. Nyreen's death was enough to show Aria's real self.
Anyway, I enjoyed the DLC. I just felt it was somewhat 'empty'. Not more Aria backstory, considering that she was the main protagonist of this DLC. :/

I think it's mentionned in the book that she's around 1000 yrs old...that's why I said that.
Anyway, it's good to soo people who agree with me. I kinda share your thoughts about pretty much every thing. I wish they was more story and the marketing was wrong, that's what bothered me the most...I mean come on, it's not the biggest DLC nor the best.
her death was pointless (and it was even worse to kill the ONLY female turian...why would complicate your life, creating a new design and stuffs to let it die like that !) I would have prefered to see her live and rule Omega. Maybe along side Aria or maybe we could have chosen to betray Aria or the contrary, or a conflict...there were many possibilities. Too bad they went for this one. I guess it closes the topic for good. (we totally need a spin off with Aria ONLY).
Concerning Aria getting softer, I like the way your see it. I'm sure of one thing, it's not because of Shepard. She is one of the few characters who don’t consider that the sun comes out of Shepard’s ass…she doesn’t flirt or fawn over him/her and that’s what I like about her. She can decide what to do. As Nyreen said, she doesn't let anyone define her.
And yeah she has feelings...she just doesn't show them often (for her own sake, on Omega, anyone could see it as a sign of weakness)

I am not surprised at all they killed Nyreen. They had absolutely no qualms killing off Thane in the most illogical fight scene ever, and then not even having the decency to tell us what happened to his son afterwards, or even have Feron show up. They spent a long time designing Thane (the Drell species was actually the result of making Thane), and making lore for the Drell, and look how it ended up.
For goodness sakes, they even forgot Kepral's symptoms and made up new ones that made no sense whatsoever. And they forgot Thane was a LI until the last minute during the development of the game, prompting them to use the same animations they made for the Jack/Shepard romance scene.
Let's face it, in ME3, the new writers care only a minimum amount about their own creation. They don't even care that they just killed off the only known female Turian in the game. They just want to use sad feels and angst drama for the superficial shock value, and pretend that doing such is the equivalent of quality writing.
Pfft, artistic integrity indeed.
