PLEASE READ

okay, my second tutorial! see i told you i was serious

alright! ask questions if you need to and REALIZE you probably will NOT have the brush that i used! It's a brush i THINK is from Charlie Bowater but i can not remember. It was free for use so here is the image from my photobucket-

[link]

Simply open it in Photoshop and Select All and make it a Brush Preset!!! i used this same brush the whole time only changing size and opacity/jitter! I used a soft brush here and there to soften the hard highlights and i used a soft erase to get soft edges.

I use the middle line technique as well! I figured that out, it just makes life so much easier to start with that then the circle method I was taught in school. That is bloody useless, mostly becuase I can't draw 2 circles the same size and even if I could it's a lame way to draw them and doesn't allow for an open mouth either.

ohhh.. wait maybe you're not talking about the 'dots' i used you mean where you draw circles for the thickness of the lips or something?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

LadyKylin In reply to MMWoodcock [2011-08-24 16:10:29 +0000 UTC]

Yeah we had to draw to circles for the top and one for the bottom, the result for me always looked really stupid becuase we had to have the lines touch the circules so if you were like me and coudln't draw a couple of circles the same size your lips always ended up looking really wonky.

i used circles for all the lips drawn at the bottom the circles are just on the outside.

LadyKylin In reply to MMWoodcock [2011-08-25 13:18:40 +0000 UTC]

well the circles were on the inside and made the whole shape of the lips.
