Juhu! My first tokota painting! Admitedly not THE most eleborate painting I have ever done but a lot of fun none the less... Hope ya like it It´s late and I´m tired so all you get as far as the story goes is a diary entry from the handler

Day 4
So. Here we are. We have really done it. We started talking about this months ago and now we finally decided to leave. Get exploring! Have an adventure or two! Meet new people! And also: miss home. Atami has started missing the eagle mount about two days before we left! You could tell from the way he started hanging his head more and more and I practically had to feed him because he wouldn´t eat. Wonderful is the oposite: She has started to bounce around like a cub the day we set a date for our departure! She loves new stuff. Everything that´s new, except for snow. Let´s hope we´re not going to see too much of that in the next few weeks. In my calculation we will take about another week until we leave the mountains. I wonder what it´s like without them. Today we finally crossed the narrow bridge. The final frontier. From now on everything is new to us. The rocks, the mountain tops, the prey, even the stars. Atami couldn´t stop turning around as we crossed into the unknown. I rode Wonderful to give him some privacy- usually Atami is stronger and I would ride him for a long way like this, but Wonderful was so eager to get on, she didn´t mind.
It was extremly cold today. The sky was mostly clear and cloud free, except for the evening, so the narrow paths you have to use were very slippery. When we had crossed the bridge we had to climb down a few steps of an ancient staircase and Atami tried to climb onto a higher spot, probably hoping to be able to glimpse the eagle mount somewhere in the distance. Naturally he was NOT able to do that but instead almost feel down the gorge when he THOUGHT he had spottet something that looked SLIGHTLY like the peak of eagle mount! (I checked after we had him back on his feet and were able to convince him not to turn around and go straight back home. It´s impossible that was the eagle mount.) After that incident it was impossible to get Atami to hunt tonight, so we had to use our provisions, as Wonderful and I both were to tired to go hunting. We have found this nice sheltered cave, I was even able to make a fire, which is also the reason why I have enough light to write this down. But now I really need to get some sleep, long day tomorrow.
