I always had a soft spot for cat girl characters. I can already see the possible love interest that will take place
with her and Johnathan. Really nice use of colored pencils. Your shading is very similar to the way I usually shade also. I
thought that was very interesting to notice.

That's certainly the case in the story, though I don't think I completely decided on whether or not they would end up together or remain friends. The story had more of a vague background and beginning when I thought of it.

Yeah, part of the challenging thing sometimes is in deciding the character's relationship to
the other, and in whether or not there would be any kind of chemistry. Plus it also depends
on the direction you want to go with the story as well. ^^
I have a black operative character who has a certain noble charm about him that many female characters
he encounters would find attractive. But because of his dangerous occupation, he chose to remain close
friends with them all. Occasionally, the girls will manage to kiss him, before his departure to another adventure,
or just the usual warm hugs that he gets smothered with. XD As much as I would have liked for him to settle for
a love interest, he is pretty much a reflection of myself. And so, since I've been single all my life, my main character,
remains single for the most part, as he is constantly moving from world to world in all sorts of adventures. His social life
is very unstable, and the only constant family he's ever known are the military that had taken him in. So it depends on
the situation of the story and in what direction you wish to lead the character. And sometimes the possibility of a love interest
might complicate matters for the character along the way, but it all depends. Some or most characters will develop overtime,
others will probably remain the same, for the sake of exploring many possibilities.

I also impart traits of myself onto my characters. Yours sounds very interesting too!
I can tell you have fleshed out a lot of his personality and background as well.
I think its good to have a mix of stable and developing characters in a story.
I admit I enjoy the journey of a character who grows a bit more though ^^
