Description I have seen the glow-worm (Lampyris noctiluca) larva many times before, but never in action like this. I was walking on a steppe looking for the rare Carabus hungaricus when I saw this larva next to the poor snail and as I was shooting it, it started feeding itself. Which was fascinating to watch.
