The atmosphere.

There's something really satisfying about the woman's figure, but I'm not sure what it is...
Like there's a type of realness to her. Not sure what I'm trying to explain, here.

The entire piece is absolutely gorgeous, yet I keep finding myself particularly impressed by the positioning of the woman's feet and that contrappasto shift. You have such a gift for emotion and movement in figures, it's so inspiring!Β

Of course! And yes, the angling of the hips paired with the graceful but strong arch and dip of the buttocks shows such a great sense of weight and movement. Also, her right arm and hand, I feel this can be a positioning that can sometimes make an arm look twisted or broken, but you've executed it very well. Do you ever attend any live figure drawing sessions to keep you sharp or do you find it's fairly easy at this point to just flesh it out by memory?

My goal is to be able to draw humans confidently without reference (I didn't use any for this one). But, that'll also mean constantly keeping up with my life drawing and anatomy studies. It's sadly not like riding a bike, you start forgetting it almost immediately.

THe way you are using shadows, lighteffects, the background,
just seems so easy to me but still its so unreachable~
The lighting and the shading just are so harmonic,
