if you get the title reference i love youSO THESE ARE MY NEW BABY CHICKENS
I was originally only going to get 3-4, but my dad was like "why not get 6?" so I got 6. *easily persuaded* They're all females (at least that's what I was told) and I got them on March 11. c: The store told me they were only 3-4 days old, so they're about a week old now. I have them sat up in a large cage in our pantry for now, but we're building them a really nice outdoor coop with a big run for them when they grow all their adult feathers and can stay outside cx If you want to follow their progress, I post lots of pictures and little videos on my snapchat and instagram, which are both under the name MatrixPotato!

I love lil chicks (especially the stripes on the brown leghorns)! We had one that would stretch out in your lap and sleep on you.Β
altho one time "yes they're all female" is how we ended up with 3/4 chicks being roosters xD At least you can be 100% sure the sex-linked is a girl! Haha

YES that's why I got two XD and also partially because I wanted an Easter Egger but they didn't have any so i was like "why not get another of the pretty ones?"

Anyway, they are super adorable and fluffy and I really want to hold one! Β I used to have a chick like 15 years ago. Β It was one of those "hatch a bunch of eggs in class" type thing and I got to keep one! Β They told me he was female, but then he got older and started crowing. Β I had called him "Lady Cluck" up to that point, but when I found out he was male, I didn't have a name for him. Β So I just called him "Rooster". :3
But your babies are so precious <3 Β Do you have a favorite? Β I know you shouldn't pick favorites out of your kids, but I'm just curious

LOL If I could've gotten more I would've! There was one other type of chicken I wanted, the Easter Egger, but they didn't have it so I got two leghorns instead x'D

OH MAN i know i shouldn't but I think my favs are tied between Bobby and Becky right now. Bobby is super cuddly and friendly but Becky is so adventurous and curious, she likes to try and jump out of the cage already lol

Yeah, ducks are a hassle, but as little babies they're so soft like chicks. But sadly the "next generation" of our ducks didn't survive since our heat lamp stopped working in the night randomly. Β :c
