Maedhros

Watercolour and colour pencils on paper.

After Nerdanel in ferns, I wanted to paint Maedhros similarly.
First, I painted irises as a background, as this was the plant I thought would suit a warrior. But it didn't work: irises were nice on their own, but didn't cooperate So I washed them off and replaced with ivy which can mean the bind of the oath or its poison, or whatever.
