Description
Rest in Pieces. Once you finish you put a rod through the middle and lock it with the key so it won't fall apart. I was cleaning my room and took it off my shelf to dusty the shelf and the stand started to fall apart. As I am struggling to put the stand back together, little pieces and parts are coming undone. What? So I take it into the spare room to put it back together, just minor things, and leave it in there so it is less bothered (I don't clean in there as often as I should!) well as I am trying to put it back together it starts falling apart more from everywhere. It's not supposed to fall apart! So I got frustrated, there was no way I was going to spend hours and a headache to put the damn thing back together again with like 40 pieces coming off now so I threw it on the ground, shattering it completely. Then I picked up all the pieces and tossed it in the trash.Β

While it was super pretty, in the end it was NOT worth it at all. I do not miss is, nor do I recommend ever getting one of these! EVERΒ

Never again. I say that a lot but I am dead serious never again. I got this... I think maybe over a year ago. For a while I only had the back half finished.

Im not sure what came over me but I finished it. Got frustrated at the end but I got it done.

No more!

How many pieces was it? I thought about trying to put one of those together but I feel like they would easily fall apart in the process.

Β 100 pieces. Believe me it fell apart numerous times as I was working on it. Fortunately only a piece or two and I had to figure which went where and in what order. I got the butt end done and stopped for like 5 months before I suddenly finished it recently. As I was working through most of the front half the back end suddenly fell off and I had to scramble to replace pieces and put it back together. When I picked it back up after all those months, I literally couldn't remember where I left off on the instructions so I winged it and literally went piece by piece to see which fit where. The instructions kind of suck anyways because all it was would have a number and a picture of the piece and its all tiny and on one sheet and you pick up a piece and try to stare at the sheet and see if it's the right one or not when a lot are similar and you just narrow it down and it gave me a headache and.... man it was so stressful. Then when I got to the end with the chest, front legs and head, that's where I struggled the most. I thought maybe I was sadly missing pieces I couldn't figure it out. Finally managed it. Once I completely finished, there is a little pole you insert in the chest that goes straight down the middle and a little key to twist it to lock it in place so it doesn't fall apart. I made sure it was EXTRA tight. I'm soooo glad to be done with it. I was determined, but seriously in this case, NEVER AGAIN

You should definitely coat that with glue or something so it won't fall apart! I never thought those puzzles would be such a pain in the butt to put together considering how few pieces they have compared to regular puzzles. Actually that's why I never bought one before. I figured it wouldn't be challenging enough. Guess I was dead wrong. haha At least it came with instructions though, even if they weren't that helpful.

That's not too few. Lil over 50. But considering it's 3D that doesn't help. I've done one of those sphere ball puzzles and that wasn't even that bad And the pieces are all really odd. It didn't come with instructions, you had to look them up online. This is the instructions. That's all ya get to work with. It was tough, at least for me, trying to figure exactly which piece went where, until eventually I just tried every piece. And even when you know the correct piece you don't know exactly where it goes, you gotta fit it and that's putting it in different places and rotating it until it clicks in place. And sometimes that's not even solid fit, it can be pretty loose so yo have to hold it there till you get more pieces in.Β

I saw some of these at Walmart the other day when they were putting out all the Christmas toys and it made me laugh. They were all 41 pieces or something. I always thought they were bigger but when I saw the pieces up close, they're really small! No wonder it's such a pain! I was thinking the pieces were a pretty good size.

Haha no definitely not! They are small and that's what makes it all the harder.Β
