How many pieces was it? I thought about trying to put one of those together but I feel like they would easily fall apart in the process.

Β 100 pieces. Believe me it fell apart numerous times as I was working on it. Fortunately only a piece or two and I had to figure which went where and in what order. I got the butt end done and stopped for like 5 months before I suddenly finished it recently. As I was working through most of the front half the back end suddenly fell off and I had to scramble to replace pieces and put it back together. When I picked it back up after all those months, I literally couldn't remember where I left off on the instructions so I winged it and literally went piece by piece to see which fit where. The instructions kind of suck anyways because all it was would have a number and a picture of the piece and its all tiny and on one sheet and you pick up a piece and try to stare at the sheet and see if it's the right one or not when a lot are similar and you just narrow it down and it gave me a headache and.... man it was so stressful. Then when I got to the end with the chest, front legs and head, that's where I struggled the most. I thought maybe I was sadly missing pieces I couldn't figure it out. Finally managed it. Once I completely finished, there is a little pole you insert in the chest that goes straight down the middle and a little key to twist it to lock it in place so it doesn't fall apart. I made sure it was EXTRA tight. I'm soooo glad to be done with it. I was determined, but seriously in this case, NEVER AGAIN

You should definitely coat that with glue or something so it won't fall apart! I never thought those puzzles would be such a pain in the butt to put together considering how few pieces they have compared to regular puzzles. Actually that's why I never bought one before. I figured it wouldn't be challenging enough. Guess I was dead wrong. haha At least it came with instructions though, even if they weren't that helpful.

I saw some of these at Walmart the other day when they were putting out all the Christmas toys and it made me laugh. They were all 41 pieces or something. I always thought they were bigger but when I saw the pieces up close, they're really small! No wonder it's such a pain! I was thinking the pieces were a pretty good size.
