Description Siavash has always been a simple man, who enjoy things that stand clear and to the point. A benefit when organising events, but it can definitely be a show stopper in other situations. In spite of this fact, he has over time been surrounded by mages: The complete opposite of rational and simple. Three of his closest relations are mages, and after years of frustration he decided to face his fears - to learn more of what he can't understand: Magic.
It is a benefit that his life partner teaches children about magic, and as a start, Saellen has given him simple exercises to appeal to Siavash' pragmatic ideologies, such as this toy. A small simple glass tube with distilled mana water. Within the tube lies a ball, and in the centre is a magnetic ring. The ring and ball are polar opposites, and the task is to force the ball through the ring, with magic.
A simple task in theory: All there's left, is to practise!

This was an image I had big plans for: I wanted to make awesome shading and cut it up for a small animated loop, portraying Siavash' stubborn attempts to control magic, while Saellen toyed with his new one and only: Pepper. A corgi puppy he begged Siavash for months to get.

Sadly, things doesn't always go according to plans, and RL sucked pretty much all my time this month, and put this project on standby.
In the meanwhile, the whole story-line took a very dramatic turn, so at the time where I could finally continue, the image felt "old": The calm idyllic time at Siavash' hut in Orgrimmar is now past, and there's going to be launched some very exciting stories in the near future.
Yet while this is now just a memory of past, I chose to somehow finish and upload it anyway, as I aim to make it a habit to finish the images I start. With no evidences, I believe that even if it doesn't turn out as "finished" as intended, it creates a momentum that'll make it easier to work on future projects.
Finally, should I not find time to make more paintings during this month, then I still managed to keep myself on the personal challenge of "Monthly artwork".

Things that I know could be better:
The shadows and light
the background
animation

On additional note, light and shadows is something I find myself struggling with, and if you know of an amazing tutorial about this topic that's helped you improving, then do share it in a comment below.

Constructive feedback is welcome!
