Kronos 1, Deep Space Exploration Vehicle.
This is probably my most ambitious space project so far. I've been working on this spacecraft for quite a while now, several months of all the design work that includes the spacecraft design, interiors, mission structure and goals, functional design of different sections of the vehicle and some other technical details. For now I wanted to present to you a 3d model that took almost a month to make and there are still lots of stuff to do. Anyway, I wanted to tease you a bit and share some of my excitement for this project, full presentation of the Kronos 1 mission coming later this year.
PS - Any resemblance to Hermes spacecraft from The Martian is pretty much coincidental and mostly comes from the research and lots of thinking about realistic long duration crewed space missions. It just means that both me and The Martian crew, did their research on space vehicles

This might sound weird, but I feel like the Virgin Galactic logo does not fit, since they are about space tourism and I think you were going for an exploration/science, judging by the various space agencies

May I ask, what is the shield for and how does it actually work? I assumed micrometeorite shield but then realized it's translucent.

It's so beautiful. I contacted you few moths ago for a commission, then you kindly reply me, and I didn't respond. Although we didn't talk no one word about money, Was not sure whether I could pay your prices. Well, after seeing this, I know I can stop wondering. No doubt I couldn't pay. If you're able to make such a work, your price must be astronomical. LOL. I found another artist and I still like the final result, but this...It's simply overwhelming. You have incredible talent.

love how the flags are ordered, very non-offensive way to do it. I have fallen in love with the design. I want to try to build this in Kerbal Space Program.

The shield serves as radiation shield (mostly from solar flares, but keeps crew relatively safe in Jupiter's strong radiation field too). It also protects the spacecraft during aerobraking in upper parts of atmosphere of all three major Kronos 1 destinations - Mars, Jupiter and Saturn. And yeah, it also can protect the spacecraft from some micro-meteoroids on the way to outer planets.
