Description A set of 4 spalted maple buttons - about 3/4" in diameter by 1/8 thick.

Again, not too special but I haven't posted in a while...

Hiya, Nice buttons I turn a few and have found you can drill the holes on the lathe by setting the piece off centre in the chuck one way, drilling then setting off centre the other way and drilling again.

You must have a device for your lathe to do this?

Or am I missing out on a tip here???

lol, no special tricks here. I just turned a spindle, mounted in a chuck, finished the end and parted off. The holes were drilled off the lathe. I'm planning on trying a few different kinds in the near future. I'll post pics if I do!
