Description So, last night I couldn't sleep, So I decided to draw a little bit. And while I was organizing my desk, I found some of my childhood drawings. Most of them were... well, I felt awkward looking at them. They were ridiculous, and I gave them names I can't read now (And no, I'm not uploading them here!)
Any way, looking at my childhood drawings I found that I am more skilled than I was then, but it's as if I gained this skill at the expense of creativity. I mean back then my creatures were crazier. Also l thought, if my old stories seem ridiculous to me now, will my present stories seem ridiculous to me in the future?

While I will agree that you have improved, these definitely look like things you would have drawn.

Yeah, people say "I'm talented", for a while I thought so too, as if there's some built-in artist in me, but now I realized that all I had at the start was not the ability to draw good, but just that I simply liked drawing, and I got better. It wasn't like I started good

Whether it's drawing, interpreting NMR spectra, or running a mile while juggling 5 balls; practice makes perfect.

(Fun trivia: I know the world record holder for fastest time running a mile while juggling 5 balls. Cool guy. Says practice is how he got his skill.)

I know that feeling as I said I can't even read some of my creatures' names... and I'm like "WTF was going on in my head?!!"

I seriously did *not* draw this kind of things when I was little. It was 50% horses, 50% princesses with me I think it says good things about you.

As for "if my old stories seem ridiculous to me now, will my present stories seem ridiculous to me in the future?" - you can only wait and see I'm very understanding with my older creations. Most of them I don't like as much as I used to, but I understand where they came from, so I don't usually feel they're ridiculous. Growing up is a process, and you're never "done" with it, so...

Yeah, but my point is back then I thought "my story is great" and "everyone's gonna love it!" But now I see it as ridiculous. Now I feel the same way I felt about my old story when I was little...
