This photograph is beautiful. I love the story and emotions it portrays. If I had one critique it would be that the photographer should have tried to capture the eyes of the subject a little more. In this picture the eyes are slightly blocked by the bars of the fence and this slightly takes away from the emotion in the face. If the opportunity comes up again for a similar picture I would suggest taking the picture from more of an angle. This might capture the eyes better and give a sense of the subject looking at the viewer as the viewer walks away. This might capture the eyes better and add to the underlying story of abandonment and loneliness. Just a suggestion, this photograph is a beautiful portrait that shows soul.
