Here is my Help! I'm a Fish OC, Meribella as Ariel from Disney's The Little Mermaid.

Ariel (a mermaid with curiosity and a beautiful singing voice): Like Ariel, Meribella is the youngest daughter of her family. She had a good life with her family, and the first time she went to the surface she learned about humans and how she and her people were mythological. Meribella grew curious about the human and wondered what it would be like to be among them. After losing her parents to pirates (not before receiving a necklace that gave her the ability to turn her into a human) and getting separated from her sisters; she meets Professor Mac Krill, an eccentric marine biologist. At first she gets scared of him, due to what happened to her parents.

But after saving her, she slowly begins to trust him. When he carries her by a large tank of piranhas, Meribella screams at the sight and leaps out of the professor's arms, lands on the floors and crawls across to hide. Then she touches her necklace and turns into a human. Since then, the professor takes her in and helps her adjust to life in the human world. Meribella also has a beautiful singing voice, but would never sing in public, sometimes she would sing to herself.
