i think you've definately captured the long vertical strokes he does in his paintings
i gotta ask now though, since you've done such a good job, did you create a custom brush to make the buildings so straight? thats something ive been trying to figure out

uhm, when youre in Photoshop, press Shift while brushing
I think that's the method he used... can't think of much else. Tough i do not know photoshop good enough, but i think that's the method.

I met Stephan Martinere at Comic Con San Diego, CA! It was amazing to talk and learn a few things from him! I couldn't believe that most of his work is just in Photoshop!
At the same conference I also got to meet the Incredible Donato.... who uses oil paints for his sci fi masterpieces...
I hope you can learn from the best.... just ask lots of questions of these guys and they will help you to be even better in the future!

and a tut on how you did this would very cool.
His (Stephane Martiniere's) use of custom brushes are awesome and very hard for me to understand. So any pointers you have would be great.

Splendid work here; very harmonial, realistic colour scheme, awesome detail, & there is a sense of depth indeed - would love to see some further off, hazed ships in the background though. & of course, id love to see some close up crops! Hehe, good work!
