And even if Aileen had some doubts, the storm has arrived. Even she blinked a few when they could see the first thunders on the almost black sky. Smoke, however stayed calm.

"It's interesting. He was an energybomb during the whole day, and now, when normally even Sky or I can say something even more unbelievable, Earl or Stroud could flich from the noises. And here he is, Smoke stands still and doesn't mind any crap around him. Is it the plushie or..?" She finished with a question

" It's the plushie and I guess the feeling of *I told you the storm would come* thing. They understand more than we could think." John added, winking.

The storm was roaring through the lands and gave an interesting, flashy, unpredictable ambient to the Show Jumping class. Despite the indoor arena and the strong windows that protected everyone from the wind and the harsh rain, everyone could feel the drops landing on their skin, making them shiver. That was the moment when Aileen remembered the thibg she was talking about with her grandfather.

"So... You mentioned you will tell me a story. If you don't mind to do it before starting." She added, smiling and showing bigger puppy eyes than Lumi could do. Yeah, the girl can be almost 20 year old, but if there is something she wants, she will show the biggest and brightest puppy eyes.

" Well, the one I can clearly feel to this day was my first ride with Smokes." he added, faking an angry smile at the Zlesdin, who looked at hikm with a stupid face and then returned to chewing his seal plushie.

"Really? Even he could break some bones? Wow, I cannot image what dad or grandma said about it!" Leen added, half laughing, half surprised.

"Well, Sean doesn't know it, as he was away at Buyeo I think? And at that time he had enough problems, let alone knowing that I managed to face land after the first time I rode on Smokes." the man shook his head.

"It was the first ride with Smokes when it happened?" Aileen added, kind of surprised. Well, it's not that surprising, but if someone she couldn't see landing like that was her grandfather.

"Exactly. There wasn't any problem, just he got spooked and he threw me down. As if I was sitting in a rocket without seatbelt. So yeah, I dunno how I managed to only break my collarbone, but I was lucky." The man explained, laughing it off, as if it was only a slight scratch.

" That is why his training was longer than expected. No one else could get on his saddle as you know, and I wasn't allowed to ride for a while, so yeah.. Kinda fucked up situation." he added, not minding the wording. Aileen didn't say a word, just nodded at this.

" Hey, but it's fine. We all take the risk when we got on the back of a young and unpredictable horse. Or at any time. Mistakes and accidents happen every time, we have to face it. So don't you dare to worry about me as much as your father does. Or I will go mad." John added, scoffing at the end, in a gentle way. Aileen nodded at this, smiling and even chuckling at his last comment.

"So... Just make sure to see how this old idiot and his mighty steed do their job, okay? We still have this show jumping and cross country. And later on, maybe you could send those pictures you took to your father and mother, huh?" John added with a smile as he jumped up into the saddle.

" Wish me luck. Smokes doesn't need it." He smirked, petting the neck of the Roan stallion before they entered to the arena....
