i didn't really have that in mind for this one. it's more about the freakish extremes of body modification- which i view as a positive thing, as long as it's an individual statement or preference based on one's own choices (after all, my whole head is tattooed) basically a piece about painful and permanent self expression...Clive Barker's cenobites heavily inspired this one (Pinhead and crew).
as to your comment regarding the narrow aesthetic standards for women i think that everyone has a right to do whatever they want with their own bodies, but that it's misguided to do it for any reasons other than one's own.
Fuck the media's idea of beauty, the spectrum of human physical loveliness is so much broader.

I'm much the same, I think its sort of the endurance artist complex. I like digital art, but I'm also kind of jealous because it seems so much quicker and more convenient.
