... except everyone has their own way of drawing and their own art style. there isn't a single concrete way to draw hair and this makes it seem that way. people might take this the wrong way and just adopt this style of drawing, it doesn't promote uniqueness.
but whatever i mean you were just trying to be helpful and your art is good so im sorry.

If you'd like, you can see these tutorials as more of a "interested in how I color hair? Well here it is!" instead of a concrete "tutorial" of sorts. Β Furthermore, looking at such tutorials can help artists discover more coloring techniques or other tools that they might have either missed, or were unsure of how to use.

But I have one question.
In two months, I'm going to buy a graphic tablet, and I was wondering if I can draw a full drawing of the girl! (or at leastΒ try to draw it xD)

What marker tool thing did you use for the shading? Like I have simple circle on, but i'm trying to figure out what you used? O:
π: 0 β©: 1
seimi-chan In reply to drive-a-leaf [2014-06-07 13:43:39 +0000 UTC]
go to marker (you can do this with any tool sai brush) where it says density bellow it theirs a simple circle click on that and click on fine flat (experiment with all the brushes to create your own! if you ever mess up those boxes that give you the tools (like brush marker pen etc) right-click on an empty box and it tells you what basic brushes you can add (like earaser airbrush pencil watercolor etc.)Β

Thank you! Although the empty box thing isn't working. When i right click it, it only says set or cancel
π: 0 β©: 1
seimi-chan In reply to drive-a-leaf [2014-06-07 17:53:25 +0000 UTC]
your probably doing it on the boxes that save color you will know if you click set and it comes up with the color you are using your supposed to do it where the brushes are found (they do look similar though ^-^' )Β Β Β Β Β Β I

Ohh found it, so how do I mix the marker with the watercolour?
π: 0 β©: 1
seimi-chan In reply to drive-a-leaf [2014-06-07 18:37:54 +0000 UTC]
hmmm you will have to play around with brush settings till you get one that looks similar for example play around with blending and persistence in marker or try acrylic some places also have premade brushes that you can download also play with mode (the one on top of layer) it has options like luminosity which highlights or multiply which adds shadow screen whitens and binary color makes everything choppy and dark Β my personal fav. is overlay and alot of artist use it it makes colors more vivid =-)
