Description
The elf who brought about the Fall of Gondolin: Maeglin, son of Eöl. In Sindarin, his name means ,,Sharp Glance”. His other name was Lómion (,,Child of the Twilight” in Quenya), secretly given to him by his mother Aredhel. Maeglin betrayed his kin by revealing the location of the hidden city Gondolin to Morgoth in exchange for Idril, whom he greatly desired.
He conspired with the Dark Foe and waited, until Gondolin was attacked by fiery beasts and eventually fell to ruin. But alas, it didn't end well for Maeglin, who fell to his death after fighting Tuor.

Among all horrible elven deeds, Maeglin certainly ranks on the very top of the list.
