Everything ok! Ola kala!

I wish for the best for the masters (although I'm pretty sure you've done an excellent work!)

New York! Shit! I'm a little jealous now!

I can see why you dont want to visit greece anymore, but since you are in the "neighborhood" we can persuade you at a later time! I wish we could make it to come Turkey, though... new plans are made after my planned trip to Japan collapsed, so everything is a possibility now!!!

Will you go to NY for a phd or something?

Hmm... maybe I should consider a road trip to Turkey? Start from Istanbul all the way down to Izmir? Or maybe we should stop talking because you are filling my head with ideas!!!

At least its comforting that you dont have problem with the airplanes! Now that you'll be moving to NY, you'll have to spend many many hours flying!!

I really like the use of yellow to tie the elements together and then the pulling of the elements in the opposite directions with the arrow and the man's gaze. Very nice!

I bet it looks amazing printed... haven't had much experience with chrome myself and that I did have didn't turn out well. lol

Thank you for your comments man!

Havent printed it yet, just projected it on the wall (you know with these old slide projectors)! It looks nice and I'll be making a nice big print in a short while I hope.

What was the problem with your chromes?

I didn't realize that thereisn't as much latitude in how much light chromes can handle as there is in negative film and I blew out the highlights something fierce!

The little bit of color that did survive was nice though. lol

Your photo makes me want to try it again. Thanks for posting it, bud.

Yeah, chromes are very demanding in light metering. I have unfortunately a lot underexposed but it's kinda better to have underexposed than overexposed.

The bad thing is that... Kodachromes no more. They stopped producing/developing. So you have to try other chromes.

Thanks for the tip... I'll be trying it again soon. A little less High Key this time. lol

Ya, that IS a bad thing... I would've liked to have tried that film. It's a sad thing to see so many different emulsions get discontinued! I just managed to find a box of Fuji Neopan 1600 for a project after they suddenly discontinued it back in November. Then of course there's polaroid...

Yes it's bad, but on the other hand there are wonderful films still available. There are plenty of choices!

Kodachrome is truly amazing!! You have to see the photos projected or printed. This really is no justice for the chrome!

Thanx!

Great shot!!!
Is there any photomanipulation sir?

kingmouf In reply to gtrchev [2011-05-11 19:10:23 +0000 UTC]

Thank you!

No there is no manipulation except from some dust removal and some color correction both attributed to the scanning process.
