I can't believe it's been 6 years since my last submission!Are any of my watchers still around? You were probably not expecting this!
I haven't done any art at all for these six years, because of school and yeah mostly because of school and now work! At least I have an income now and got myself a new laptop
I think I've become uncreative, because this bird is a painting of my green cheek conure referenced off a photo of him. His name is Green Bean but I call him bird. I left it unfinished, and might move it to scraps later but I figured I'd submit it as a deviation for now. I do hope that I'll get back to some more creative stuff soon! This was just practice to get myself started back up

I have to say, you did a pretty great job on the details of the feathers on the finished parts.
And actually the unfinished parts add an interesting effect. Like what leojones said earlier, it does add a macro photography type of look to it. Very nice!

It's a beautiful painting. It is very believable, a lot like actually looking at a bird. The contrast between the soft focus around the edge of Green Bean's head and lovely detail around his eye does a wonderful job of emulating the way the eye focuses.
It's easy to get the impression that Green Bean is quite a character!

The unfinished parts look like they're out of focus, making it look like macro photography.
