Description
The sort of thing you come up with when it's been raining for a week and shows no sign of stopping. There are 332 objects and a stack of polys. Everything in the watch is fantasy, I have no idea what a pocket watch looks like inside. I just kept cramming stuff in there till the case was full.Related content

Modeling took some time, I spent about a week on it, on and off. It wasn't that difficult, if you look carefully you'll see there are a lot of repetitions of cogs, springs etc, they have just been rotated and resized. The hard bit was getting textures and lighting right.
I rendered it in Bryce 5.0 so it only took about 15 minutes.

Holy crap, its wonder your machine didn't explode trying to render that, I know mine would have. The mirror texture on the writing and lid just doesn't look right, too much reflecion I think. The rest of the textureing is just fine and serves to bring out the details and seperate the parts. The parts themselves are very cool, well modeled and look realistic.

HOLY SHITT! I was wondering whether or not you used something as a reference but who cares, this is absolutely amazing, must have taken you, weeks...even though it's fantasy it looks pretty goddamn amazing. You deserve a slap (not really) because it's so good.
